Duties: Assist Superintendent and Assistants with daily planning and operations. Help manage all pesticide and fertilizer applications. Monitor course playing conditions constantly and provide all necessary inputs. Provide daily water requirements. Communicate with managers.
Education Requirements: Two or four year degree in turfgrass management. Willing to work on Virginia Pesticide Applicator and Fertilizer Applicator requirements.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience on crew and / or internships
- Transition Zone turf management experience a plus
- Spray experience a plus
- Familiar with irrigation systems
- Ability to multi-task while closely monitoring daily operations
- Ability to prioritize and adjust to ever changing conditions
- Sharp attention to detail
- Career oriented with strong commitment to the profession
- Team oriented, willing to listen and present ideas
Date Available: March 15 – April 1, 2013
Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour
