The Institute of Applied Agriculture at University of Maryland, is on the search for a Sustainable Agriculture faculty member.

Position Summary:

The Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) invites applications for a part-time (50%) 12-month Sustainable Agriculture Lecturer/Advisor, to teach courses and advise undergraduate students at the University of Maryland, College Park. The IAA is a 60-credit academic certificate program in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Maryland, College Park. This is a renewable, non-tenure track, 12-month 50% appointment. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in plant science, soil science, agronomy, horticulture, agriculture education, or related field
  • 2-3 years  teaching experience, preferably post-secondary level
  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching
  • Experience in agriculture production or operation of agricultral enterprise will be given extra consideration
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
