IAA’s Collin Plumley is destined to be outstanding in the landscape management field. A second-year student, Plumley began his landscaping journey as a small-town farm boy in Carroll County. Once in the IAA program, he instantly knew that he had success in his future, and this summer Plumley interned with Brickman Landscaping Company.
The work proved physically challenging and Plumley showed his grit, and was rewarded with a supervisory role of a two-man crew. Plumley demonstrated his ability to get the job done right and on time. He was trusted with more and more responsibilities as he proved his great skills in the field.
Through his internship, Plumley says he achieved skills to better manage a crew. He saw how a large successful company operates, and he hopes to take these skills and run his own successful landscape business once he finishes his education.
