Collegiate Farm Bureau Comes to UMD

Collegiate Farm Bureau at the University of Maryland

On November 8, 2016 at 5:00 p.m., the Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) will host a kickoff meeting for the Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter at the University of Maryland. IAA Lecturer Larisa Cioaca will serve as the faculty advisor for the student organization.

Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters educate students about agricultural issues and develop leaders for the agricultural industry. The Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter at the University of Maryland will help students gain a greater understanding of the Maryland Farm Bureau, and the important role students play in ensuring that campus and government officials are aware of the challenges facing agriculture.

All interested students are encouraged to attend this kickoff meeting to meet others with similar interests, and take part in launching the new Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter at the University of Maryland!
