The Institute of Applied Agriculture at University of Maryland, is on the search for an Agriculture faculty member.

Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) is a 60-credit academic certificate program in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Maryland, College Park. The IAA provides students with the entrepreneurial and technical skills needed to manage profitable agricultural enterprises. This is a renewable, non-tenure track, 9-month appointment. Continuing appointment will be based on performance and student enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in agriculture economics, agricultural business management, entrepreneurial studies, agricultural education, or related discipline.
  • 2-3 years teaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level.
  • The key person will demonstrate excellence in teaching.

 Preference:

  • Experience in agriculture production or operation of agricultural enterprise will be given extra consideration.
