The PGMS Student Chapter is composed of IAA and/or UMD students who wish to pursue careers in the green industry.

Benefits of the PGMS Student Chapter:

  • Participate with the PGMS-DC branch meetings
    • Discover state-of-the-art facilities in the greater Washington D.C. area
    • Transportation offered to meetings
  • Apply and be considered for PGMS scholarships
  • Network with professionals and get first hand exposure to internship and job opportunities
  • Participate in community service projects where you may apply practical skills and knowledge, such as the rain garden installation at the Community Learning Garden

Come to Chapter Meetings:

Our PGMS Student Chapter attends the DC-PGMS Chapter meetings on the first Thursday of every month. At the meetings, students get exposure to green industry professionals and leaders. If enough students desire to attend a meeting, transportation is arranged from UMD to the destination. PGMS DC chapter meetings take place in local facilities and free food is provided.
