"WITH VISION,
THERE IS HOPE"

It is time for change - and change will be our friend.

America is ready for a new vision of conservation and environmental stewardship that is based upon hope instead of fear. In order to share this vision we must first reintroduce the American consumer to the processes and the people of production and then lead - not just fight - the discussion over our environment. Those who work at the ground level in implementing society's framework for protecting the environment are positioned at the leading edge of the changes and challenges of this discussion. That edge provides exciting opportunities and hope.

Attention College Students

Finding more opportunities to learn than money? ~ Let MFA offer to help!

In 2005 we instituted a special Student Rate for college students and also solicited our members to become College Student Scholarship sponsors. This was a great success with seven college students attending on scholarships. In 2007 we had eleven students attend. MFA wants to be sure that if you want to come and learn more about Maryland's forests, resources and industry, that nothing stands in your way!

Contact the MFA office for details!!

Conferences aren't your thing?
Here are some things to do for spouses and guests.......
Come Sail Away to Annapolis and
Anne Arundel County, Maryland, a place where history lives in a museum without walls. Lose yourself in our quaint seaport village steeped in hundreds of years of maritime heritage. The vibe is laid-back, the scenery is awe-inspiring and the local fare is seasoned with the flavors of the Chesapeake Bay.

You’ll want to come back again and again.

Become a Conference Sponsor ~Support the Pro-Forestry Message
No matter what sector of the forest community you are in, the future of our forest resources affects and is affected by us all.

Designed to cover MFA's broad spectrum of members, forest landowners, foresters, recreationists, loggers, and mill owners, the Annual Conference guarantees thought-provoking discussions and new insights. Your participation as an sponsor will help to make this meeting a success!

There are three ways that you can choose from to help MFA spread the "good news" about forestry and the forest products industry in Maryland: as an financial sponsor, exhibitor, and/or silent auction donor.

We are looking for sponsors who share our vision and are willing to financially ensure the success of this event. In addition to speakers' fees and expenses, each year hotels charge more for the incidentals that are necessary for a successful conference. We are asking individuals, organizations, agencies, and businesses within Maryland's forest community, to consider becoming a 2008 Conference Sponsor. Help us make this year's annual event the best one yet!

Step up and show your support! Take a moment and consider the promotional advantages you will gain and the tangible benefits available for being a sponsor of MFA's Annual Conference. Contact the MFA office at mdforests@hereintown.net to pledge your support!
