Amy Fisher holds a Master’s Degree in Community College Teaching with an emphasis in Communication from George Mason University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Amy has worked as an adjunct communication professor for several universities and colleges in Maryland and Virginia, including George Mason, Montgomery College, Frederick Community College and Northern Virginia Community College.
Amy’s instructional background is quite diverse. She has experience teaching not only Public Speaking, but Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication and Group Discussion.
Amy retired from United Airlines in 2012 after 22 years of service. Those two decades of work included extensive customer service experience in conflict resolution and problem solving, training, operations, supervision, and communication in a diverse work environment.
Amy is originally from Western Pennsylvania but has lived in the DC Metro area for over 25 years. She currently lives in Brunswick, Maryland (Frederick County), with her husband Richie, daughter Erin and her Australian Shepherd, Boomerang.
