Welcome to the Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA), the fast track to your career. Part of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the IAA caters to the career-oriented student, whether you are a recent high school graduate, a career changer or an employee looking to advance your current career. Our faculty and our courses are student-focused. We want you to succeed. Each semester as an IAA student, you'll meet with your advisor to discuss schedules, academics, career moves, internships and target graduation date. IAA students truly have the best of all worlds: small class sizes with individualized attention; caring, experienced faculty; and all the resources offered at a large university. As a student in the IAA, you are a student at the University of Maryland with access to sporting events, recreational activities, cultural events, and hundreds of student clubs. See what's happening at the campus recreation center by going to http://www.crs.umd.edu/programs. If you want to visit us, just let us know. We host an Open House each spring and fall, but if you can't wait, we'll schedule a time to give you an individual tour of campus and/or arrange a time for you to meet with an advisor. We look forward to meeting you. Just give us a call at 301-405-4685 or send us an email. |
